Craig-y-Nos has become one of our favourites and this year’s spring walk just reinforced that feeling because we had the best possible weather and a fabulous turn out of over 25 Welshies and their leash-holders (of course the non-Welshies were also welcome).
Oxwich Bay – the club’s annual gathering on this wonderful beach is always popular with members – it was a shame we had to postpone it last week due to bad weather – but thankfully the weather gods did us proud today.
Barry Island – or BarryBados – as us locals like to call it. Always a popular walk in the winter months as the beach is open to the dogs.

Unlike last time we were here, we had a beautiful sunny day for our Summer Get Together and Welshie Walk.
We’ve had lovely walks here at Craig-y-Nos before, and this was no exception, we had lovely weather for our Spring Get Together and Welshie Walk.
What a fantastic sight to see so many club members and friends turn out for our New Year Welshie Walk – you just can’t beat a walk on Oxwich beach on a brisk sunny day.
We were so pleased to see so many club members and friends turn out for our Remembrance Day Welshie Walk – particularly as storm Debi was hitting south Wales with a vengeance.
The Welsh Springer Spaniel club called for a Worldwide Welshie Weekend to help celebrate the club’s centenary – so to support them we called for our members to join us for a Welshie walk at Barry Island on Sunday 8th October. Here’s some photographs from the day’s event.
What a beautiful sunny spring day this was – and as people started to arrive at the Cafe at Craig-y-Nos, we just knew this was going to be a good Welshie dog walk.
