Oxwich Bay, The Gower, Swansea – this beautiful beach is now a regular feature in the club’s calendar and a popular gathering with our members. It was a great shame we had to postpone on the 4th January due to icy weather – and we were having our doubts when we set out today.
When we set out from home it was absolutely hammering down with rain but as we left the M4 at Swansea the weather cleared and we enjoyed a grey but relatively dry on the beach.
Over 20 Welshies lined up with their bosses for the compulsory group photograph before they all rushed off onto the beach. The usual antics of racing around like loonies and diving into the water ensued and the group all walked off towards Three Cliffs Bay.
After the dogs had had their fun – the humans finished off with a well earned cuppa and slice of cake at the cafe on the beach.
Many thanks to everyone who turned up and we hope you all enjoyed the day out – we are already looking forward to the next gathering – which is likely to be Barry Isalnd on St David’s Day, March 1st.
I must thank Clive Griffiths for supplying most of the photos for the gallery below – you’ve done a great job Clive, hope you’re there for the next one too.
