Craig-y-Nos Country Park has become one of our favourite destinations and we decided to make our Summer Walk a bit special by making it a club picnic gathering too.

So we took along our event shelter and cuppa making equipment and everyone brought a plate of something for us all to share. Thanks to early arrivers Roger and Johnathan who helped to erect the shelter. It was a lovely day weatherwise – but we did get rained on a few times which justified us putting up the shelter – we needed it.

Again, about 20 Welshies and their leash-holders turned up including three or four gorgeous and mischievous puppies (and of course our regular honorary non-Welshies – I’m sure you’ll spot them in the pictures). As usual the dogs run riot and enjoyed meeting up with their old friends and it was great to see some oldies showing the youngsters the way into the water.

I’m still hobbling about on my bad knee but managed to get the compulsory group-shot – so I’m grateful to Jackie, Ann and Sharon for sharing their photos to help fill up the following gallery.

Also, we are grateful to Roger and Eira (the locals) who led the way around again – and many thanks to everyone who brought along cakes and nibbles .
